Dry-stone walling workshops to restore the heritage of Alta Garrotxa

This autumn, the Alta Garrotxa Consortium is organising dry-stone walling workshops with Amics de Sant Aniol and the Gremi dels Margers de Catalunya to restore traditional structures and encourage local participation. The first workshop took place on 12 October, with 15 volunteers taking part.

The next session will be held on 12 December. As well as their heritage value, dry-stone walls provide shelter for various species and contribute to biodiversity and ecological connectivity.

The initiative aims to build a volunteer network rooted in the local area and promote shared stewardship of the natural and cultural heritage.
