La Garrotxa recognises businesses committed to sustainable tourism

On 23 October, Mas Sobeies, in the Vall de Bianya, hosted the Garrotxa a la Carta event, dedicated to the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism in Garrotxa and Alta Garrotxa. The gathering brought together representatives from the tourism sector and public authorities to share experiences and discuss sustainability challenges.

Topics covered during the event included energy efficiency, good practices among tourism businesses and linguistic sustainability. The expansion of the Charter’s scope to include the entire Alta Garrotxa Protected Natural Area was also presented.

One of the main events was the presentation of CETS accreditations to participating businesses. The initiative promotes collaboration between protected areas, public authorities and businesses to turn sustainability commitments into concrete improvements for the region.
