Visits with Values: autumn with flora, family circus and dry-stone workshops

The Consorci de l’Alta Garrotxa, with the support of the Parc Natural de la Zona Volcànica de la Garrotxa, links autumn with a new edition of the Visits with Values programme to showcase the natural and cultural heritage and promote responsible visiting.
The programme emphasizes the flora and plant diversity of the area with two activities connected to the FloraLab project. The session “The hidden flora of the Pyrenees” will be held on October 10 in Sadernes, led by experts from Associació La Sorellona and Associació Brisa. There is also the proposal “Circus and botany for families” scheduled for November 8 in Tortellà.
In addition, two dry-stone training sessions titled “Dry-stone training: recovering the craft to conserve the territory” are included; they will take place on October 12 and December 12. The meeting point will be in Montagut and the workshops will be run by the Associació Gremis dels Margers de Catalunya.
With these activities, the programme aims to combine outreach, training and discovery to bring people closer to the natural and cultural values of the Alta Garrotxa and encourage sustainable conservation practices.
